What is web design?

Web design is the process of planning and building how a website looks and works for the people visiting it: layout, colors, navigation, and how easy it is to find what you're looking for.

It's different from web development, which handles the code and functionality behind the scenes. Most small business projects need both, planned and built together, not treated as separate jobs.
