What is AI web design?

AI web design means using AI tools, website builders with AI baked in, or generative tools like ChatGPT, to produce a site's layout, copy, or code automatically from a prompt. It can generate something fast. Fast and built well are not the same thing.

Without a person reviewing what the AI produces, you get generic templates disguised as custom design, broken mobile behavior, missing SEO fundamentals, and code nobody understands well enough to fix when something breaks. AI can speed up parts of the process, but a website with no human accountability behind it is a recipe for problems down the road, not a shortcut.
