How do I ask Google to crawl my website?

In Google Search Console, use the URL Inspection tool: paste in the exact page URL, and if it hasn't been crawled or needs a refresh, click "Request Indexing." This nudges Google to recrawl that specific page sooner rather than waiting for its normal crawl schedule.

For a whole new site, submitting your sitemap through Search Console is the broader version of the same request, it tells Google every page that exists so it can start crawling from there instead of relying on stumbling onto pages through links.
